Compare hoodie fleece, hood structure and decoration as one system.

A heavyweight blank hoodie is not defined by fabric weight alone. Body fit, hood volume, rib recovery, fleece face and internal finish determine how it wears and how well it accepts screen printing, embroidery or private labels.

Fleece face and inner finish

Brushed fleece, loopback and cotton-rich blends differ in warmth, stability and print surface. Confirm fibre content, usable face, shrinkage and pilling expectations against the programme’s intended wear.

Hood, rib and pocket

Review hood panels, overlap, drawcord, pocket position, waistband depth and cuff recovery. For oversized hoodie programmes, the relationship between body width, length and rib tension is especially important.

Decoration and weight

Large prints and embroidery add stiffness and weight to an already substantial garment. Sample the intended artwork, including backing and placement, before approving a premium wholesale run.

Compare French terry and fleece to review the inner surface, weight, fit and decoration before selecting a hoodie fabric. Add artwork, labels or packaging to a developed garment through Blank Apparel Customization. If fit, pattern, material or construction must be original, continue with Custom Hoodie Manufacturing.

Heavyweight and oversized blank hoodie questions.

What makes a blank hoodie feel heavyweight and premium?

GSM contributes, but yarn, knit, brushing, surface compactness, hood construction and rib quality also shape the result. Compare an approved physical reference instead of selecting by weight alone.

Can DRIOV supply oversized blank hoodies for wholesale branding?

Oversized directions can be reviewed through a developed blank or full custom route. Share target measurements and reference images so the right route can be chosen without assuming one universal oversized fit.

Is screen printing or embroidery better for a hoodie?

The answer depends on artwork, garment surface, placement, budget and desired hand feel. Screen printing suits many larger graphics; embroidery can add dimension but requires careful weight and backing control.

How are pullover and zip hoodies planned differently?

A zip interrupts front artwork and adds zipper, facing and alignment decisions. Pullover styles offer a continuous front surface but require pocket and hood placement to be considered with the design.
